Partner Notes
How partners use personal and shared notes to annotate solutions, shortlists, and briefs.
Overview
Partner notes let partners annotate solutions, shortlists, and briefs with commentary and recommendations. Notes come in two visibility levels — personal (only the partner sees them) and shared (the buyer sees them too).
Note Types
| Visibility | Who can see it | Use case |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | Only the partner who wrote it | Working notes, internal evaluation, draft recommendations |
| Shared | The partner + the buyer organization | Final recommendations, analysis for the buyer to review |
What You Can Annotate
Notes can be attached to:
- Solutions — evaluate individual solutions with pros/cons, pricing analysis, fit assessment
- Shortlists — add high-level commentary on a curated list
- Briefs — annotate brief responses with your analysis
Adding a Note
- Make sure you're in a buyer context (select a buyer org from the Partner Switcher)
- Navigate to a solution, shortlist, or brief
- Click the notes icon to open the notes panel
- Choose Personal or Shared tab
- Write your note and save
Editing & Deleting Notes
You can edit or delete any note you've written. Changes take effect immediately. Shared notes that are deleted are also removed from the buyer's view.
Permissions
Notes require the Notes permission on the partner delegation. If you don't have this permission, the notes feature won't be visible. Ask the buyer organization admin to update your permissions if needed.
Best Practices
- Start with personal notes — use them as working space while you evaluate
- Move to shared when ready — change a note's visibility from personal to shared when you want the buyer to see it
- Be specific — reference pricing, capabilities, and fit criteria so your recommendations are actionable
- One note per topic — keep notes focused; use multiple notes for different aspects of evaluation
