Security & Privacy
How your data is protected and what privacy controls are available.
Overview
Human Cloud takes data privacy seriously. This article covers how your information is protected and what controls you have over your visibility on the platform.
Authentication
- Password security — passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- OAuth support — sign in with Google or Microsoft for enterprise-grade authentication
- Session management — JWT-based sessions with automatic refresh
- Password reset — secure email-based password recovery
Buyer Anonymity
Buyers have multiple privacy controls:
Profile Anonymity
- Name anonymity — hide your name from solutions; they see "Anonymous Buyer"
- Company anonymity — hide your company name from solutions
Toggle these settings in your profile settings.
Brief Anonymity
When sending briefs and RFPs, you can choose to remain anonymous. Solutions will receive your request and can respond, but they won't see your name or company until you choose to reveal it.
Partner Identity Modes
If you work with partners, you control how they appear to solutions:
- As Buyer — partner is invisible; solutions see only your company
- Transparent — solutions see the partner's name alongside yours
- Anonymous — both you and the partner are hidden
What Solutions Can See About Buyers
| Information | Visible to solutions? |
|---|---|
| Your name | Only if you're not anonymous |
| Your company | Only if you're not anonymous |
| Your email | Only in direct communications (briefs) |
| Your shortlists | Never — shortlists are private |
| Your saved solutions | Never — saves are private |
| Your notes | Never — personal notes are private |
| Which other solutions you're evaluating | Never |
Data Ownership
- Buyer data — your shortlists, notes, and evaluation data belong to you and your organization
- Solution data — your profile, business cases, and reviews are your content
- Partner-created resources — resources created by a partner on your behalf belong to your organization, not the partner (they remain even if the partner's access is revoked)
Email Domain Privacy
Your business email domain may be used for auto-matching to your organization. Personal email domains (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) are never used for organizational matching.
