How to create and manage engagements — formal working relationships with solutions on Human Cloud.
An engagement is how you formalize a working relationship with a solution on Human Cloud. Once you've evaluated solutions through briefs or RFPs and decided who to work with, you create an engagement to manage the relationship — contracts, services, compliance, and billing all in one place.
Engagements are best for program leaders and operations teams who need to track active vendor relationships, manage service stacks, and maintain compliance.
| Role | How you use engagements |
|---|---|
| Program leaders | Create and oversee vendor engagements, manage contracts and compliance |
| Operations teams | Track services, health status, and purchase orders across engagements |
| Partners | Manage engagements on behalf of client organizations |
Click the Engage button on any solution's profile page. This takes you to the engagement creation flow in My Cloud.
Set up the details of your working relationship:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Solution | The primary solution you're engaging (pre-filled if you clicked from their profile) |
| Contract type | HC template, custom upload, or no contract |
| Terms | Scope, cost, timeline, start date, and notes |
| Services | Add services like EOR, IC verification, payroll, compliance, and more |
| Escrow | Optionally enable escrow with a specified amount |
| Purchase order | Link to an existing PO for billing |
Depending on your organization's settings, engagements may require approval from a manager or admin before they become active.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Engagement is being set up, not yet submitted |
| Pending Approval | Waiting for organizational approval |
| Active | Engagement is live — services are being delivered |
| Paused | Temporarily on hold |
| Completed | Work is finished |
| Cancelled | Engagement was terminated |
Each engagement can include multiple services — both from the primary solution and from other solutions. Available service types include:
If you have an active engagement and want to add another solution as a service provider, click the chevron next to the Engage button on any solution's profile. Your active engagements will appear — click one to add the solution as a service.
Track the health of each engagement with status indicators: Healthy, At Risk, or Critical. Add notes to document any issues or changes.
