Sending Briefs & RFPs

How to create and send requests for information or proposals to solutions, and track their responses.

Overview

Briefs and RFPs let you send structured requests to solutions and track their responses in one place. Use a brief for lighter-weight information requests (RFIs), or an RFP for formal proposals with detailed questions.

Creating a Brief

  1. Select solutions — choose which solutions to send the brief to (from a shortlist, the cart, or individual profiles)
  2. Set your requirements — add a description of what you need, your timeline, and budget range
  3. Add questions — write custom questions or choose from category-specific templates (Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Executive)
  4. Send — solutions receive your brief and can respond directly on the platform

Question Templates

Human Cloud provides pre-built question templates organized by department:

  • Engineering — technical capabilities, integration, security
  • Marketing — creative capabilities, campaign management, analytics
  • Finance — pricing models, compliance, invoicing
  • Operations — onboarding, SLAs, geographic coverage
  • Executive — strategic fit, references, scalability

You can use templates as-is, customize them, or write your own questions from scratch.

Creating an RFP

RFPs follow the same flow as briefs but are designed for more formal procurement processes. They include:

  • Custom question sets with structured response formats
  • Timeline and budget parameters
  • Multiple solution recipients
  • Response comparison tools

Tracking Responses

Once you've sent a brief or RFP, you can track responses from My Cloud:

  • See which solutions have responded and which are pending
  • Read individual responses with full detail
  • Message solutions directly within the brief conversation
  • Compare responses side by side using the comparison table

Sharing Briefs & RFPs

Share brief or RFP results with colleagues using a sharing token. This creates a read-only link that anyone can view without logging in — useful for sharing results with stakeholders who aren't on Human Cloud.
