# A Future Won by Talent Platforms and EORs
What really is the "future" of work? Is it agents? Is it freelancers? Solopreneurs?
This past week Tony was at Transform, and I was at SIA Exec Forum, the pinnacles of the talent industry. Across the research, talks, and conversations, 3 things are glaringly obvious:
**1. Companies won't stop hiring.** 35.6% of organizations that conducted AI-led layoffs have already rehired for more than half of the roles they eliminated. Only 8.4% of HR leaders say their AI-driven restructuring delivered what was promised.
**2. Companies are shifting to the human cloud** whether procurement, HR, or the staffing industry wants to. Since October, the platform has averaged over 100% month-over-month growth in unique visitors.
**3. Whatever the model, it needs to be flexible, and it needs to work with agents.** Not incremental shifts like AI recruiters. A paradigm shift in how human talent onramps/offramps with agents.
This model is platforms and EORs.
The science is simple. Platforms replace full-time reqs and recruiter fees with specialized, outcome-based, variable cost contracts, while EORs provide safety and compliance.
And the market is responding.
- EOR searches have grown 356% quarter over quarter across Human Cloud
- Freelance platforms have a 17% CAGR
- 49% of companies plan to start using EOR services
Yet freelance models are still less than 1% of the overall talent industry. The opportunity is massive.

## What the Data Shows
The platform hit 6,778 visitors in March, up from 2,835 in February. That's 139% month-over-month growth, and nearly 4,000% since October.
Beyond the growth, here's what the data is showing:
- **Category acceleration:** Marketing searches are up 362% QoQ, EOR up 356%, and Developers up 214%
- **New demand signals:** Three categories emerged this quarter with zero prior activity: Customer Experience, Events, and Sales
- **Research depth:** 1.7 pages per visitor across 1,258 sessions - buyers are browsing and comparing
